Oh Being A Missionary -- Nov 5th

This week I studied the Christlike Attribute in Preach My Gospel ch. 6, pg. 122-- of Diligence. One of my favorite parts this time was in the scripture study it asks how is diligence related to Agency? The scripture in D&C 58:26-29 was SO great! I learned that we much CHOOSE to be "anxiously engaged in a good cause" and NOT wait for opportunities to come our way. Always be looking for someone to say hi to, so smile at, to help with their groceries, to share with them the gospel, to share your testimony, to live what you believe and be a good example to everyone that may see you, etc. Basically in everything. love it!

We are still teaching the Pjetri Family and I love them! They are getting baptised this Saturday. My first Baptism, and a family! wahoo. The amazing thing is that their dad keeps wanting to listen more and more and even participate in the lessons. Their mom is amazed at how he will listen to us and just keeps telling us that she is so excited about it because she needs us to help him understand that this is the true gospel and he needs to take them to the temple as a family. I love this whole family. Their dad really is such a wonderful guy. I'd say the only trial he will really have is deciding to obey the Word of Wisdom, which won't be easy but definitely is possible. We taught them of tithing and fast offerings while he participated in the whole lesson and then we mentioned their baptism this coming week because they were all interviewed yesterday. Their dad said, "who is getting baptised" I thought oh no at first, but after they all said we are! He had a thoughtful look on his face and then shook his head yes (which is side to side in Albania) ha. and smiled. The plans continued. I can't wait for him to come to their baptism and see them all in white and hopefully church on sunday to see them receive the Holy Ghost! I just know he will want to do the same. Well I hope. He is just a great dad, and I can always tell he loves his family so much. During the lesson also he had his youngest daughter, 5, sit on his lap.. and after a little while she had the pamphlet of tithing and she started teaching him about the pictures. I loved it! He just smiled. He has studied the bible, which explains why his kids know so much, but he just needs a little more now! The youngest daughters name is Marijana and she is the cutest. We will ask her about the Book of MOrmon and she says "Libri i Mormonit flet per Zotin!" aka... the Book of Mormon speaks of Christ. so cute!

About Albania:
The missionary work just keeps going, some days definitely better than others but it just keeps going. Something fun about Albania... They have twisty stairs... Everywhere!!

This week I attached a picture of our Church Parking lot. We got tons of rain a couple of weeks ago and this picture was last week at church. The whole parking lot was full of water. kinda crazy.

Here is another pic of the water. This drain wasn't draining so they just broke the road so the water would go in. so funny. I loved it.

A big bowl full of pomegranate seeds. mmm... we ate them in milk just like dad eats his fruit and they were so delicious. Albania has a lot of really good fruit. One of my favorites that I haven't ever eaten before in America is the Hurm or Persimons I guess. really good.

Love you all! Thanks for you love and for just being the best. Have a good week.
