O ishtë një ditë e bukur!

It has been a good week. I have just felt the spirit and have just done lots of great things as a missionary. I love it here! It really is so beautiful and the people are the reason. They are all so kind and loving.... and hard headed. ha. It really can be so hard to change traditions and work to open the hearts of people that are just so hardened and lost. It is just so sad really. They just don't know how to open their hearts to God and let His great love fill their lives! There is so much that I take for granted growing up in such a wonderful family with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to always be filled with His love and be lead and directed by his spirit. To simply... Believe!

The Friday before my birthday Motra Jones surprised me with a lemon meringue pie!!! I LOVE HER!! It was so delicious and we all celebrated together at the church.

My birthday was a perfect day. Really RAINY!! We went running all over Prishtina with the Elders in the morning (in the rain). We did our morning studies and prepared for the day. Then we went out tracting for a while! I tracted door number 22! ha. Ya.. we didn't get in anywhere, in fact most people wouldn't even take our pamphlets, but we tried and it was fun really.

For lunch we went to a new little cafe that we just found last week. It is delicious! Almost like America. ha. We ordered our food and had the same waiter as our first time there. Motra Forte told him we wanted the best desert they had at the end because it was my birthday. I said... pretty sure they don't do things like that here. but we'll see what he does. It was a nicer type of place. The meal we had was delicious! I had pasta with orange Fanta to drink and Motra Forte got Chicken with a terriaki/peanut sauce. good right!! Well after we were done with our meal, thank goodness all the people on our floor of the restaurant had just left, because the workers change the music in the whole restaurant to probably a U-tube "Happy Birthday to You" song. and they bring us 2 tre lece with candles. ha ha. WE laughed and I blew out the candles. They all clapped. It was classic. They even spelled happy Birthday in English on the plate. So great! I'll try to send a little video Motra Forte Captured in the moment.

The rest of the day we just were all out and about. We walked all over the city. It really was great! Just to be out and about talking with people, finding people, just being a missionary. I Loved it! Perfect day.

Then, yesterday, at church they announced it was my birthday again and so everyone told me happy birthday again. Gjon said Wow you are a lucky girl because you have had quite the event for a birthday. For 3 days he told me "Gëzuar or Urime Ditëlindjen! Bëkoftë edhë një qind!!" Everyone says this same thing! Congratulations! May you live yet one-hundred more years! I Love it. The older men in our ward both came up to me and said happy birthday. One said he felt so bad he didn't bring me a gift because he feels like I am one of his own daughters and he should have brought me something. ha. He's great.

Anyway it really was a great time! I will never forget my 22nd birthday in Prishtina Kosovo!! Wow, I'm so lucky!

Love you all! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Kalofshit mirë!

P.S.  Hey... we also got up this morning and rode the TRAIN to Peja. It was a 2hr train ride and it was SO SO FUN!! It was just like the Heber Creeper and the people here take the trains a lot as they travel home or from town to town. I Loved it. So beautiful and just so fun.
