Welcome to Tirana!! --- June 17th

This week has been... crazy! I said my goodbye's to all my wonderful people that I love in Kosovo Monday night and then I was off 4:00am bus back to Tirana. It is HOT here and it will only get hotter. ahhhh...

I found my new house which is nice, but needed cleaning. I live in a communist pallate or appartment building that was build during communism... so it is totally a huge cement block and looks way nasty on the outside, but on the inside the owners of the rooms often have made them nice. It's kinda fun. It is crazy though because in this building we have to share water with all the neighbors... ya. The AP's didn't know about the water situation when they found it, but I have been making it work so far so we'll see. It's all part of the adventure right!!?? ha. Anyway we have this little plug thing that we have to plug in 2 floors down in the wall to turn our water on. When it's not in we have a little tiny bit of water (enough to flush the toilet and wash your hands) but not a lot. So when a neighbor is already using it... it gets a little interesting. This morning I took a little dribbling water shower because someone else already had their pump plugged in... hahaha... We'll see how it goes.

Me and my mini  Motra Sejati

I got my new companion on Thursday and I am with what we call a "mini" missionary for about a week and a half until my companion comes from America. My mini missionary is from Tirana and her name is Motra Sejati. She is very tiny and nice. It's been interesting living with an Albanian, but I really have enjoyed it. I have learned a lot speaking 24-7 Albanian and I get a good laugh to myself every time she does things... like an Albanian would. ha. My new companion had her passport lost and so has to wait in the MTC until it is found and she can come. It shouldn't be too long I am told so we'll see. I've always wanted to have a mini, just not for way long and so I guess I got just what I wanted.

It has been hard to open a brand new area having NOTHING to go off of, but I have learned a lot and I have really just tried to keep busy. I've met with the 4th branch Pres. and received lots of names to get started with so that will be good this coming week. I'm excited to see how it goes. It's good I have my companion because she can help me get around a little to find things I don't know how to find.

The last week of the last transfer I finished the Book of Mormon in Albanian.. It was really great! I felt so good finishing it. Now I am going to try and read it one more time before I come home. It has helped me learn so much and be so much better. I love the Book of Mormon and after I finished I prayed for a conformation of the truthfulness and yup! It's still true! I love it! and I'm so thankful for that special book!

We had District Conference this past Sunday and a Mission Conference with a member of the Seventy Elder Kaeron. He is so great! Everything was so good! I love feeling the spirit so strong always. Here are some pics of the people I got to see there!
