It has been quite the week.
I feel that we were hardly ever even in Fier (my new city). We did an
exchange with a sister that has been kinda sick for a while now on Tuesday
because they had been inside since the last Saturday. It was good for
her companion to get out and do some work for their area, and I got to
stay in and talk to her a lot. She did end up going home on Saturday
morning which was quite sad, but I think it will be better for her to
figure out what has been making her sick. :( Missionaries aren't
supposed to ever leave early!! It's sad. I couldn't how I would feel if
that happened to me... not good that's for sure. I hope she gets
better.
Well on some greater news. We had District
Conference yesterday and it was so great for all of Albania to gather
together and have a great conference! It was my first time to travel on a
big bus with all the members for a few hours to get to and from Tirana.
It was an adventure for sure. I think we are on track for becoming a
Stake in Albania very soon. We will be running as a stake soon so that
next April they will make it all happen. Quite exciting!!
Yesterday in our District Conference a member of the 70 was there named
Elder Charles. He said that at one experience in his life he had a
calling to do something and before he even met the people he was asked
to serve he loved them with an amazing kind of love. He asked someone
about this amazing capacity to love others and they told him that with
that calling the Lord gave Him a piece of His love for those he was to
serve. Then he said he thought about that and realized WOW if I only
have a tiny piece of the Savior's love and it is this strong, O how
miraculous is the Savior's love for all of us!
I know this kind of love mom! I'm glad you have the calling to be
my mother and I'm thankful for your love! and through the spirit but
also my patriarchal, blessing I know that Heavenly Father, my Heavenly
Mother, and my Savior have an even greater love than we can imagine! I
love tapping in to this great love and sharing it with others.
Also this past week since we were not in our area
for very much, we were both worried about our Fier missionary work. We
have to be good examples ya know!! Even though we were both worried all
week, we always tried to simply do our best and work our hardest
whenever we were in Fier and miracles did happen. One particular day we
were just not having any luck meeting with people and so I decided we
just need to be willing! Willing to do anything the Lord needs us to do.
So we went tracting and found 2 really nice people that wanted us to
come back, sincerely. Then also on our way home, there is a little dyqan
(store) at the bottom of our apartment building and the lady and
daughter stopped to talk to us. They acted like we were their own family
and were so kind! They live on the same apartment floor as us and later
that night knocked on our door to just show us what apartment was
theirs and let us know we were welcome anytime. They also had the key to
the top of the building, so we went up their and enjoyed the fresh air
and the little city from above!! It was awesome! We actually taught them
again this week about Heavenly Father and Prayer and they both sucked
it up! I hope they will continue to love it!
... and also and we went up the elevator to our apartment that same
night a lady was going home from work and talked to us so kindly! She
got off at her floor and showed us her door welcoming us to her home
anytime!
It was a hard day that turned into something
wonderful as we decided to simply be more willing to do what the Lord
needed us to do. At first it was hard and maybe something we didn't
particularly love to do, but through every need their is a promise of
blessings. It was a great day after all!!
I love this Gospel family! I love you all! I'm so
thankful you are all my family! I'm so lucky! I love the Savior and My
Father in Heaven. The Gospel is real! and I love it!
Kalofshit mirë!
Ju dua shumë!!
