Sept. 2nd --- Moza, Linda, and Transfers!!!

Hi Family!!
It's been quite the week.

There was a really amazing rainstorm this last week. WE got soaking wet, but it was so beautiful. It was fun to just walk through all the puddles and not have to worry about keeping my feet dry. Wearing my plastic Albanian shoes! ha The season is starting to change now. It's starting to be slightly cooler in the mornings and it's getting a little darker sooner. So crazy how time flies!

This is the most adorable Albanian Nënë that sells flowers and Herbs on the street right by our house. She has really become our friend and so I had to take some pics today. She is so tiny, but so spunky! She's got the cutest glasses and definitely a new set of teeth and is feeling good! ha.

Second, We had 2 of the wonderful ladies we've been teaching make their first covenants with our Father in Heaven this weekend! YES!! It was the most beautiful day! One's name is Moza and she is so special. She was a referral that I got from the elders my first week here. I met her when I had my mini (Albanian) missionary Motra Sejati, but just wasn't sure if she was really capable of understanding and really progressing. Non-the-less she came to church every week!! She said that she only has time to come to church and wouldn't really meet with us, but after about the first month we finally met with her again. I just wasn't' really sure what to do. Work really hard to help her understand and progress or if it wasn't really what was best for her. I asked my mission president about her and he told me that, everyone needs the saving ordinances of the Gospel if she is accountable and understands the difference between right and wrong she should be taught. So We had a lesson trying to figure out what she understood and decided that she really is amazing and definitely understands. She doesn't really have teeth, like most Albanians, and has kinda a deep way of speaking so it was really hard to understand her, but I know the spirit made miracles happen. We started teaching her, put her on a Baptism date and through very simply teaching, a lot of spirit, and a lot of love she now has made covenants with her Father in Heaven and is SO HAPPY!!! She really is so amazing and is already bringing all her friends to us to teach. I love her a lot. She is in her 50's and not married, but is so amazing and has so much faith.

Baptism!! Moza is in the middle and Linda on the Right.
Linda is the other women. She is amazing also. She started coming to our English courses at the beginning of the transfer and we really tried working with all of the people that kept coming because they were all SO awesome. We taught some amazing gospel lessons each time full of the spirit. After a few months of English, she had come early one time, so we sat down and taught her about the Book of Mormon and asked her if she would like to follow the example of the Savior and be baptised. She said yes. The next lesson we had with her we set the 31st as the date and basically taught her in just a couple of weeks before her baptism. I loved meeting with her everyday and she always read and studied everything everyday. She is amazing also, and has a big family... 8! So hopefully good things will come out of that!

I'm so happy and excited for both of them. It has been a wonderful week! The spirit has been so strong and I have been exhausted!! Pretty sure I've fallen asleep the second we had finished nightly planning everyday. ha. Missionary work is the best!!!! I have loved serving in Tirana! It's been fun to even just look around my apartment now and think, WOW! When I got here 2.5 months ago there was no pans in the cupboards or blankets on the beds. Now it is full of wonderful things and most importantly a full area book. I started with nothing and together with my Companion and the Savior we have made this area big and moving!! It's super exciting. it wasn't easy, but I"m so glad that I can say I put my fears behind me and moved forward with faith every day. I did a hard thing and I did it well!! YES!!

NOW!!! I am being transferred to a little city in the more southern part of Albania called Fier. It is definitely the smallest city yet and I'm kinda nervous and sad because I've just been turned into a city girl I think. ha. This is my LAST transfer! WHAT!! Because of all the little changes this year with scheduling things have gotten a little messed up, but now by next year we will be on the old schedule , therefore, this transfer will be 4 months long. The longest one ever prob.! ha. I can't believe it. Ahh!!! I also will be the new Sister Trainer Leader! and since now the sisters have a car to do the exchanges I will be driving in Albania!! Yup... I will be driving in Albania!!! Ahh!!! It is going to be quite the crazy adventure. ha.

It has been so nice to be in my own area for most the time these last 2 transfers, but now it is back to the travelers life for me! ha I am SO SO excited especially to go back to Kosovo... I pray for miracles always with those special girls up there. I miss them.

So basically, lots of things happening, but it's exciting. I love being a missionary and I love sharing the gospel that I truly love and am SO grateful for in my life. The missionary life goes by so fast, but I love working hard and staying focused everyday. I know I can do hard things. I can Listen with Love. I can love the people and bring them hope! It's amazing.

have a good week!!
Me dashuri,
Motra Hoover

Valmira from Kosovo came down this week to be a councilor for the Albanian EFY that was this week. So she stayed for church and I was so excited to see her! She is doing well.

Me, Motra Kokol, Elba Kapllani (member, we've used alot) and Bora one of our investigators after church yesterday.

Motra Kokol and I on the balcony of the Couple missionary in our area. It is beautiful from their view! I have loved Tirana and will miss it!
