Can you believe that it is already November... time is definitely flying...
It has been a really busy week this week. We have
worked really hard and have had lots to do. We had our leadership
council this week in Tirana, which I always love going to because you
get all the good news about everyone and everything... I really love
also being trained by my mission President. He is a very real
and intelligent man and I love that about him. We also put on a big
Halloween party that turned out Really good! We made lots of
decorations, had lots of carnival games and LOTS of people came. The
whole church was super full and everyone had a good time I think.
President Bott (who is also a couple missionary here) said that if only
all of them would come to church! :) Then that would really be the
miracle. We'll work on it! Motra Wendt and I dressed up like Pirates and
it was really fun.
We have some amazing people that we are teaching right now that have Baptism dates for the 16th of November.
A mother named Anila and her daughter Dajana. and a son of a recent
member family named Amarildo who is 14. They are both so wonderful and
progressing. I have loved watching and helping them feel the love of the
Savior more and more in their lives and it has been AMAZING watching
them change as they read their scriptures and pray daily. The light is
coming slowing into their eyes more and more. It has been so fun. I'm
excited to keep working with them so they will be ready to be baptized!
We are also always finding!! We are now going to start teaching a
beautiful family from Gjakova, Kosovo! That now live in Fier and own a
bakery. They are so wonderful and it is so fun to hear them speak and
speak to them a little in Geg, Albanian. I'm really excited for them so
we'll see.
Today we went on a road trip adventure to the South!
Gjirokaster and a BEautiful spring called "Blue Eye". WOW was it so
blue! It's been fun to see how beautiful Albania is and travel through
all the little Fshat's/villages. The driving is a little crazy, but more
in the country it kinda gets fun actually. Sometimes it feels like
driving a race car. ha. Today on our little adventure we drove over
mountains on roads that were exactly like driving over Sundance or over
to American fork Canyon. OH... It was Heavenly! :) That is my favorite
thing to do!
I don't have a lot of time today so I'll have to
send some pictures of everything next week. I love you all and hope you
have an amazing week! Remember to always look around you and to
recognize all of God's beautiful Creations that we often always miss.
This world really is so beautiful... it's amazing and it's all because
God created it for us!
