MTC Aug. 1st

Hi Family!! i love you ALL so much!!
This week has been so great here. It really is amazing how the lord works in us and how you can feel of His love for us everyday! Learning Albanian is confusing but fun. Little by little I learn more eachday. We are constantly teaching "investigators" in Albanian. Its crazy and pretty bad prob, but its possible. and amazing that I can say things to people and I'm starting to understand alot more of what my teachers say. The MTC is very different from regular life and I've had to change alot of my study habits and time habits to try and do my best everyday with not much time to really do it. Sometimes I feel like I am always eating here. I feel like I just ate breakfast and before you know it were already eating lunch. This week my district and I are all speaking only Albanian during lunch... and whenever we can. Its been interesting and pretty quiet. ha. but it's so fun! When you have to try and say things in another language you end up using your hands alot. ha.
We just got back from the Temple this morning and it was so wonderful!! I did get to sing in the choir yesterday for the devotional and it was so great! They asked us to please sit front and center so I was literally standing right in front of the conductor, but whatever. ha. We sang a beautiful song and I loved it. I love music so much and I'm so glad to have that love and ability in my life. I always feel the spirit when their is music. The devotionals here are fantastic and they always help me realize more and more of why I am here. Yesterday the speaker told a little about that saying that we can't come here on our own, or even if we just want to. We have to be called here. We are all called to be here! Our Father in Heaven has called us to specific places knowing our ability and determination to live his gospel through a Latter day Prophet!! I know He loves me and needs me to be a missionary in Albania, and therefore needs me to work my hardest everyday to come unto Christ, gain a greater understaning of His sacrifice and apply the Atonement in my life everyday. I know He knows I can learn Albanian and that He needs me to learn it for those people that are searching for his  Love... and I'm really excited. It sometimes can be stressful, overwhelming, and confusing here, but I realize now that through school and different experiences i've already had in my life I've really been blessed with the gift of being patient and trusting in my Savior for guidance, strength, and comfort. He is always there and is so willing to help us if we ask!! I also know that I can do hard things and I'm so greatful for the hard times because when you conquer them they always become the greatest and most happy times... I think because we learn to come closer unto christ.
Also in the devotional this week he asked us Why are we here? and I think not only should we as missionaries think of this question, but through out all our life!! Everyday we should wake up and ask ourselves why am I here? and then live everyday remembering that we are here to prove to our Father in Heaven that we love him and are so grateful for his love! and that we are so grateful to Him for sending His son to this Earth to Atone for all of us so that we can make it back to live with Him again!! He also needs us that are so blessed to have this knowledge to share it everyday! With everyone. I think we need to be a lot more BOLD! and I know that anything done by love will be accepted and appreciated no matter what it is. We all need to be missionaries and remember that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ restored their gospel to this Earth again through Joseph Smith so that we can be happy and find the strength and joy that comes through understanding this gospel and eternal life!!

Sunday's are different but really only in that we don't have classes. Sunday's are such wonderful days because it like rejuvinates your encouragment and gets you ready to work hard for another week. We don't have visiting teaching. The only sister calling is coordinating sister, which is kinda like RS pres, but not. just looks over everyone, goes to all the meetings, makes the beds for new sisters, and makes sure eveyone is doing good. Kinda the go to girl in evey branch. We also this Sunday got a new Branch presidency.
I love you all so much and am so grateful for such a wonderful family to support and love me!! I couldn't do it without you!
With Love,
Motra Hoover

  1. Megan received a letter from Kristi this week!!! It was so exciting to get a letter from the MTC with her name on it!

Kristi wrote: "Big brothers are the BEST! They love you so much and always are watching out for you. That's really special, and I am so grateful for them. You should tell your brothers that you love them and give them a BIG hug once in a while. You also should always try to be the BEST big sister you can too. It makes all the difference :-) Always CTR!! I love being a missionary...and you can be a missionary too!! Heavenly Father loves you! and SO DO I!! Love Motra Hoover"

Megan has a lot in common with Kristi being a little sister and also the biggest of three sisters. Megan admires Kristi and looks up to her. Her advise and encouragement are priceless!
