MTC July 25th

I'm a SOLO Sister!  Basically they only send the very best sisters to Albania and that is why there aren't very many. ha. but really actually all the leaders always say that. One sister in my bishopric said that they have been called serving here since last November I think and I am the 5th sister called to Albania. They usually only have one called at a time, except for the last group had 2 sisters and they said it was only because one of the them had to push her mission back a couple months. I'm sure that they have it all figuered out in Albania knowing how many sisters they have and need so that everyone has companions there, but if not then they prob. just do 3 somes. I guess we'll just have to find out!

Today is my first P.day and I love it! The temple just re-opened this morning from cleaning and so we got to go early this morning and it was so wonderful!

The MTC is quite the experience. Its definitly not easy, but yet I know that this is where I need to be and I know I can do hard things!! So its all good. I love it really. The spirit is so strong here...all the time!! I love all my companions. On the last week of being here they do what is called a "concecration week" where you can't speak english.. ever!  so my companion Watts Nuver. going to Hungry has only been speaking Hungarian until today so we finally get to talk. Even though I got pretty good and guessing what they would say. She's so great! She leaves on Tuesday and she's going to be the best missionary ever!! When I see how well they can speak I'm amazed and I think WOW hopefully I'll be able to speak Albanian like that too... In time. In time. So when she leaves I will become offical companions with the other Hungry sisters. They are seriously the BEST sisters and I'm so glad we all get to spend time together.

They have helped me a lot trying to understand how to best use my time. That has been the hardest part for me I think is just having my time planned better so I can feel more accomplished at the end of the day. Its a lot different than college cause you don't just go to class and take notes so later you can study for hours and understand it. You have to understand it like the first time and then you only have like an hour every day to practice, memorize, and try to understand. So its alot different, but slowly I'm starting to figure out what I should be working on so I can learn better, faster. There are 6 Elders in my district going to the Adriatic South. They are all so great, and hopefully we can continue to get to know each other and help each other learn and feel the spirit. The MTC is great! Its hard, but the hardest things are always also the happiest things. I love it! and I love you all SO much!!

LOVE you!!!

  1. Kristi wrote Jaron a note this week. It said:

"Never forget that your Father in Heaven loves you! Always say your prayers and read your scriptures too! You are such a great example. CTR!"

Jaron is grateful for Kristi's example in serving a mission. He prays often for her to feel the spirit and to have an open mind and heart to learn what she needs to know to be a great missionary.
