MTC Aug. 8th

WEEK #4

Time here at the MTC flies by... and yet drags on... its really weird.

First this week one of my goals with my district have been to wake up by 6:15 instead of 6:30 so the Elders could get to class on time and so I decided that I would also wake up early and read my Albanian scriptures out loud for 15 min in the morning. It has been so wonderful and as I've strived to be exactly obedient with going to bed and getting up... and everything, I have felt so much strength! I don't get as tired in the day and I feel alot more able to continue learning and be focused! I'm so grateful for obedience and I've been working on that Christ like attibute this week.

Today so far I am grateful for Temples. We did initiatory and it was so special to do family names!!

I'm also very grateful for music. I decided that even here I need to follow my mom's example and always share my talents even if I'm not the best. So I volunteered to play the piano for sacrament meeting this Sunday and I'm kinda nervous, but really excited too. I know I will be blessed by sharing something God has blessed me with. And as we practiced this morning a little I could site read and play songs so well. Such a miracle! I love it.

Its so crazy, hard, and so fun to be a missionary! I often find myself saying to myself WOW I'm really a missionary. I'm really doing this. Its so cool. I can't wait to go to Albania, It's going to be such an adventure!

I have learned so much both in Language and about the gospel that has really strengthened my testimony and my love for this gospel. I love my savior so much!! and am so grateful for my Father in Heaven that I know loves me and sent His son here to Atone for all our sins and be a perfect example for us to follow. For only through Him and striving to live like Him can we too live with our Father in Heaven and Families again forever! I love it. As I study too and teach lessons in Albanian I have really come to realize how much power there is in such simple statements of the gospel! It;s so beautiful. It's so powerful. I love it!

  1. Laurana has ANXIOUSLY awaited her own personal letter from Kristi. Finally it came this week! Laurana always remembers Kristi in her prayers. She prays that she will be safe and have fun on her mission. Laurana often talks about memories she has of Kristi and asks LOTS of questions about what Kristi is doing on her mission and what it is like. Her letter to Kristi was full of questions her letter answered some of those.

Kristi's letter said " As missionaries we get to wear Sunday clothes every day! We are sharing the gospel and teaching people about what makes us so happy and we represent Jesus Christ so we always want to look our VERY best. Just like you do on Sundays. We don't wear hats though. We want people to feel our love for them and help them feel our love for our Savior adn father in Heaven and I think hats would be distracting from that. Just like I am sharing what makes me happy with others YOU should too!

Whenever you meet someone new or even just to all your family and friends you should ALWAYS share with them the things you have or do in your life that make you happy and help you feel the spirit!! And that help you feel loved!!!

All these things are from our Father in Heaven. He wants us ll to be happy...so I think that if I share with others the things that make me happy God would be happy that I'm grateful for what he gives me!

You should try it! Tell me how it goes. Write down all the things you think of that make you happy...that you share too. So you will never forget how much your Father in Heaven loves you! And is so proud of you!

I love you too and miss you! Always CTR

This is such wonderful advise on how we can be missionaries NOW no matter what our age and how we can realize our own blessings and how much our Heavenly Father loves us. THANKS KRISTI!!
